We were given 9 Degus to re-home but it turned out that two of the females were expecting so we actually ended up with 21. Due to the fact that they are prolific breeders we have kept the males and females separated but have kept their cages adjacent so they can see each other. Degus need to be adopted at least 2 at a time, even 3 is a good number because they dont do well as single pets. Their adoption donation is $35 each for the very young ones and .$25 for the adults.
